The State of Our Economy
As for the current trials and stress over our economy, can I quote some carpenter from Nazareth who supposedly knew a thing or two:
"Don't hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or---or even worse!----stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it's safe from moth and rust and burglars. It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being."
He also said something about the wise man building his house on the rock and not the sand.

David I want to thank you so much for dealing with this topic. I have talked to several missionary friends of mine who have seen their support go down dramaticly and one even had their support stopped. It is my hope and prayer that believers will continue to give what they have been giving to God and live on faith. One thing I have learned is that God takes care of his children. Even scripture says, "I have never seen the righteous forsaken or begging for bread." I hope that ministers, pastors, elders, will enocurage their members to keep giving and live on faith.
