The Simple Gospel

Over the last few months I have heard a section of 2nd Corinthians a whole bunch of times. I have to conclude that HE wants to me to continue to hear it so that I will be transformed into HIS likeness more than I am at the present. I can't even recall who all I have heard quote it or read it........but I promise it keeps ringing in my ears. I don't know if you can boil it down any simpler than this. This is the Gospel, pure and simple. If I were starting to study with an unbeliever today, I think this might be a good place to start. For you and me, it might be a good place to start over.


"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. As God's fellow workers, we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain".


When God looks at you and me, he sees Jesus. Talk about identity theft! But the good news is that we CAN be transformed into his likeness by walking in his steps and fixing our eyes on HIM...the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In the book "Just Like Jesus", Max Lucado says that God accepts you where you are, but he won't let you stay there. He wants you to be just like Jesus.

Are you saved? Live like it, and be tranformed by his love, mercy and grace.
