Measly $19
I was feeling sorry for myself this morning because I had a lousy nineteen dollars that was supposed to pay for going to get a haircut, get an adjustment at the chiropractor, and eat lunch. The 99 cent menu at Wendy's was looking like a probability. Not hating it, but not the best meal either.
Then I got a bulletin from "Doctors Without Borders". My lousy $19 all of a sudden became equal to winning the lottery to five kids who are severely malnourished. It would buy all five of them 2 high-protein biscuits that would keep them from going hungry for several days. When those run out, they can get back to doing what most of the kids in their neighorhood are doing.......starving to death.
Isn't it all relative?

Did you want to biggie-size that biscuit. Heeerrreee or to gooooooo! We don't know the meaning of starving. I always correct my kids when they say, "Im starving" No your not and God-willing you never will. Have heard comments from people who come here from third world contries that say one of the most amazing luxuries we have in the USA is the grocery store. Sooo many choices......One whole aisle for soups, one for cereal, one for soft drinks, on and on...and we gripe if the stock boy says they are out of OUR BRAND! We are so rich, so filled, so blessed-materially. Beware that we don't let these blessings become our god. $19 would feed 19people in Mexico and beyond going south.
